We offer a range of lessons & activities that are suitable for children from age 2+ to adults, from beginners to the more advanced rider. Our aim is to provide a fun and safe learning environment where you can progress at your own pace.
All our lessons are taught by British Horse Society qualified instructors, who have been DBS checked, have attended the necessary child protection courses and are first aid qualified.
Private Lessons
If you are new to riding or want to work on a specific goal we offer 30 and 60-minute private lessons. We do however encourage children to join one of our group lessons, even if they are complete beginners.
Our instructors can also provide lunge lessons to help you work on your position and build confidence. These are suitable for beginners and advanced riders.
Group Lessons
We run various 30 and 60-minute group lessons based on the experience and capabilities of the riders. Please speak to one of our instructors to discuss the best group for you.
Stable Management
Horse riding is not only about learning to ride but also about caring for an animal. We believe it is important to learn both aspects of this in order to fully appreciate the amazing relationship you can have with a horse.
Our stable management sessions are built around The Pony Club and British Horse Society tests and awards structures to give the most all-round and detailed training. You can take part by either booking individual stable management sessions, by joining in on our two-hour clubs which include riding and pony care or by attending a pony day.

Get back in the saddle or improve your riding and learn the basics of horse care in a fun and relaxed environment. Each two-hour session includes a one-hour riding lesson and one hour of stable management. This is run alongside BHS Stage 1 syllabus. You must be able to walk/trot off lead-rein.
Hacks / Beach Hacks
Explore Pin Mill and the surrounding countryside on horseback. We offer walk/trot hacks and canter hacks. New riders must have had an assessment lesson prior to booking a hack to ensure you are safe.
Our summer holiday pony day beach hacks to Harkstead shore are very popular. Children can enjoy a picnic with the ponies and ride in the water bareback.
Adult beach hacks can also be arranged – we have been known to stop at the Bakers Arms on the way home!
Tots Trot
Fun based 30-minute lesson for ages 2 to 6 years.
